We are proud to say that 2022 saw the sixth edition of XcitED, the Slush EdTech side event focused on innovation and the future of education. This year, the great event was held in collaboration with Unicef Innovation, Amazon Web Services and Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT at the Aalto University Töölö Campus Auditorium. The third and fifth floors of the building hosted the sixth edition of XcitED and the semi-finals of the GesAwards Nordic and Baltic, with eight amazing startups taking part:

Thank you to David Guerin from Brighteye Ventures and Tamas Haiman from Supercharger Ventures for your support in the GesAwards. Congratulations to Annie Advisor as the new winner of the GESAwards and kudos to all the startups that made it to the final round! This amazing achievement is just one step in your journey. Your ability to relentlessly seek solutions to problems and find innovative ways to make the world a better place is key to this success and to many more to come!

Thank you Seppo Kalliomäki and Maria Spies for the brilliant keynote and for sharing such wonderful thoughts with us. So many people have benefited from your ideas; it was a great opportunity to learn more about the current edtech trends. The panel discussion by Tara O'Connell, Aleksandra Jovic, María Luján Tubio, Bishnu Bhakta Mishra, moderated by Angeles Cortesi on the future of digital education was very inspiring. Thank you UNICEF Learning Innovation Hub for being with us!

Thank you to everyone who got XcitED with us! A big thank you to all the volunteers, technicians and fantastic partners: without you none of this would have been possible! See you next year!

Here are some of the best moments of the 2022 edition!
