Building the Italian EdTech ecosystem

Italian Tech Week is the largest Italian event for innovation, technology and startups. The numbers speak for themselves: more than 150 speakers from all over the world, sixteen master classes on innovation, ten thematic panels and a special discussion area where to meet the protagonists who, over the last ten years, have helped to make Italy a country where it is a little less difficult to create a successful startup. The debates revolved around artificial intelligence, space, travel, metaverse, manufacturing, climate technology, gaming, influencers, mobility, NFT, education and sports technology.

The power of gaming: to educate and entertain - NextEdu & Quickload, the OGR Tech European accelerator programs”, is the title of the panel discussion that took place on Friday afternoon, 30 September, in the Sala Duomo of the OGR Torino. Our CEO, Antti Korhonen, Enrico Poli from Zanichelli Venture, Valerio Di Donato, CEO of 34BigThings srl, and Vincenzo Valerio Merenda, co-founder of Mash&Co | Animation & Games were among the speakers. We would like to thank Fondazione CRT and OGR Torino for their support, especially Matteo Pessione, COO of OGR Torino, who introduced xEdu to the participants. We would also like to thank Lorenzo Fantoni for his invaluable contribution as moderator of this conference!

To mark the occasion, xEdu staff organised the Building the Italian Edtech Ecosystem event, which brought together startups from all over Italy to talk about the future of education and strengthen the Italian ecosystem. On this occasion, our CEO Antti Korhonen signed the agreement to seal the partnership between xEdu and EdTech Italia, an association that is part of the European EdTech Alliance, a consortium of national trade associations and clusters that work with education technology founders and providers to support the growth of EdTech and innovation in education.
